Wood Selection

We specialize in what we call “Blue Pine” which is Ponderosa or Lodge pole pine that stains a bluish tint throughout the tree by a process called Cerotostamella (long name for what the IPS beetle causes when it eats the cambium layer, lays eggs, and leaves its trail!).

There is a beauty produced by this process that is absolutely gorgeous! No two pieces look alike which create interest in any piece.

We also use walnut, cherry, maple, mahogany, or what ever you want!
